Cyera, a data security company recently valued at $12 billion after raising $600 million, signed a letter of intent to acquire Oasis Security for approximately $1 billion. The deal is expected to be paid mostly in cash with the remainder in Cyera shares. Oasis, founded in 2022, focuses on non-human identity security — particularly monitoring AI agents' behavior and managing their access permissions across enterprise software systems. The company has raised about $195 million from investors including Accel, Craft Ventures, and Cyberstarts. Both Cyera and Oasis share common investors in Accel and Cyberstarts. The acquisition is part of Cyera's broader M&A strategy; the company recently also acquired Ryft (backed by Index Ventures) and the less-than-one-year-old Genie Security. Post-acquisition, Cyera plans to integrate Oasis's technology into a unified identity and data security platform. Cyera has surpassed $150 million in ARR but remains unprofitable, according to a recent TechCrunch report. The five-year-old company has raised approximately $2.3 billion in total funding to date.
