It supports Coinbase Advanced platform features including TradingView charts for analysis. Users can ask it to rebalance portfolios, follow investment strategies, or provide trading advice. Currently supporting crypto spot markets and derivatives, with equities and prediction markets planned. The agent uses Coinbase's x402 payment protocol, developed with AWS, Anthropic, Circle, and Near, to autonomously purchase premium research APIs and compute resources without requiring logins. Lincoln Murr, Head of AI Product, stated Coinbase combines exchange access with native payments protocol for a future where most internet access occurs through agents. The platform previously launched AgentKit in 2024 and added AI assistant features in December.
