Depicted as customizable blob characters, each Dot can be assigned ongoing projects—monitoring a user's calendar, suggesting dinner delivery options with pricing, or helping launch a website—without waiting to be prompted. Context is shared across ChatGPT, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and optionally iMessage or Android RCS for Pro users on a waitlist.
For sensitive actions—installing software, changing passwords—Dots are designed to request explicit user approval. A Custom Rules tool lets users define hard limits and flag tasks requiring extra permission before execution.
The launch positions Dots directly against Meta's Muse, a personal agent that recently topped smartphone download charts.
