On July 31, 2026, multiple Cursor users reported that the usage page no longer displayed dollar cost figures, instead showing token amounts. The Dashboard's CSV export was also found to omit cost data for included usage. Cursor staff member Kevin Neilson confirmed the change was deliberate, explaining that displaying dollar amounts to individual plan users caused confusion because the figures often appeared higher than the user's plan cost — a result of generous included usage allowances. Under the current design, usage covered by a plan shows token counts labeled 'Included,' while on-demand usage beyond the included amount still displays a dollar figure in the Cost column. Enterprise plans continue to show dollar amounts due to their pooled usage structure. Neilson directed users seeking dollar totals to the Dashboard > Spending section, which shows an On-Demand Spending figure for the current billing cycle, and to the Dashboard > Usage CSV export, where the Cost column shows dollar amounts only for on-demand rows.
