Amazon's Bee Unveils Two New AI Wearables

Original: Amazon’s Bee launches two new personal AI devices, starting at $75

Why This Matters

Bee undercuts AI note-taking rivals while tying into Amazon's growing hardware and AI ecosystem.

Amazon's Bee launched Bee Frontier ($74.99, wrist/clip wearable) and Bee Eclipse ($99.99, phone-magnetic card) on Oct 15, 2026—its first new products since Amazon's acquisition, undercutting rivals like Plaud Note at $159.

Amazon's personal AI hardware subsidiary Bee has announced two new devices—its first product launches since being acquired by Amazon last year. The Bee Frontier ($74.99) is the successor to the original Bee wearable, worn on the wrist or clipped to clothing. The Bee Eclipse ($99.99) takes a different form factor: a credit-card-sized device that magnetically attaches to the back of a smartphone, putting it in direct competition with Plaud Note ($159–$189) and the Pocket AI device ($129), though at a lower price.

Both devices use always-on AI to record and process ambient conversations, converting them into summaries, action items, calendar invites, and to-dos. A free tier offers 14 days of memory and basic summaries; a $11.99/month Bee Pro plan unlocks unlimited summaries, a personal chat assistant, daily memory recaps, and integrations with Amazon.com, Alexa+, Gmail, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook.

On privacy, Bee uses on-device encryption—raw audio is processed in real time and deleted; transcripts are encrypted with keys generated by the device itself, inaccessible even to Amazon employees unless shared manually. An optional Alexa integration lets Echo devices use Voice ID to identify the user's voice and feed insights hands-free. Users can delete all transcripts and summaries at any time.
