Emad Dlala, who oversaw Engineering and Digital at Lucid Motors, departed the company just months after his promotion and weeks after new CEO Silvio Napoli formally started. Dlala spent over a decade at Lucid, previously serving as VP and senior VP of the powertrain team. His exit follows company turbulence including 12% workforce layoffs in February and the departure of former CEO Peter Rawlinson in early 2025. Napoli, former Schindler Group executive, is transforming the organization with direct reports from VP of vehicle engineering Vivek Attaluri and VP of software Marc Solsona Palomar. The departure comes ahead of Lucid's mass-market Cosmos EV launch below $50,000 and robotaxi development with Nuro.
