Zelda Timeline Site Preps Players for OoT Remake
Original: Show HN: The Zelda timeline to catch up before the Ocarina of Time remake
Why This Matters
Fan tools that contextualize long-running game series signal how remake hype drives community content.
legendofhyrule.com launched a visual Zelda chronology covering Nintendo's full official timeline, timed to a 20-day countdown ahead of the Ocarina of Time remake release.
A fan-built site, legendofhyrule.com, offers a scrollable walkthrough of Nintendo's official Legend of Zelda timeline — from Skyward Sword through the branching child, adult, and fallen-hero eras that split after Ocarina of Time. The site frames each entry as a brief story synopsis, walking readers through titles including A Link to the Past, Majora's Mask, The Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess. A countdown timer on the homepage marks roughly 20 days until the Ocarina of Time remake. Nintendo has officially documented the timeline in sources like Hyrule Historia, which the site appears to follow. The tool is aimed at players who want narrative context before jumping into the remake — either as a refresher or a first look. No login or account is required; the experience is purely read-along.
