Why This Matters
Demonstrates E Ink tablet market evolution with productivity focus
reMarkable unveiled the Paper Pure, a $399 monochrome E Ink tablet succeeding the reMarkable 2 after six years. The device features a 10.3-inch display, 32GB storage, improved responsiveness and battery life, plus new productivity features.
The Paper Pure maintains the same 10.3-inch diagonal display size as the reMarkable 2 but with a wider format for easier note-taking. Resolution stays at 1872 x 1404 pixels with 226 PPI. The tablet includes 32GB storage (4x the predecessor), weighs 360 grams (40g lighter), and offers 50% better responsiveness with 30% longer battery life from its 3,820 mAh battery. New software features include web app support, calendar sync, meeting notes sharing, automatic document conversion from cloud storage, enhanced handwriting search, Slack integration for converting handwritten notes to text, and Miro collaboration. The base $399 model includes a stylus, with a $449 version available. reMarkable will sunset the reMarkable 2 while maintaining software support for existing users.
