Ozlo, founded by former Bose engineers N.B. Patil, Brian Mulcahey, and Charlie Taylor, has launched Sleepbuds 2, priced at $279 — a $30 increase over the original $249 launch price. The company acquired Bose's Sleepbuds IP and research when Bose exited the category in 2023, releasing its first product in late 2024. That original device has since amassed over 200,000 customers.
Sleepbuds 2 extends battery life from approximately 10 hours to 14 hours. The redesigned charging case now holds enough power for two to three nights per charge and includes a physical button to play sleep sounds or snooze alarms without using a smartphone. Bluetooth reliability — a frequently cited issue with the original — has been addressed via a redesigned antenna and extender, offering longer range and faster pairing.
Audio improvements include a built-in amplifier for better sound masking and personalized sound tuning across modes: Spoken Word, Airplane, Focus, and Balanced. A new Sleep Shield feature blocks incoming calls, notifications, and audio streaming during sleep. Sleep tracking has also been expanded, with the buds monitoring breathing and movement, while the charging case tracks ambient sound, light, and temperature to help users identify optimal sleep conditions.
