Why This Matters

Shows AI meeting tools expanding beyond transcription into unified enterprise search

AI meeting notetaker Otter introduced enterprise search functionality that connects Gmail, Google Drive, Notion, Jira, and Salesforce. Users can query data across these platforms alongside meeting transcripts. Microsoft tools support coming soon.

Otter AI launched enterprise search capabilities using Model Context Protocol (MCP) to connect external business applications. The feature allows users to search across Gmail, Google Drive, Notion, Jira, and Salesforce alongside existing meeting data. Microsoft Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Slack integration planned. Users can push meeting summaries to Notion or draft Gmail messages. The company redesigned its AI assistant to be consistently present across the interface with contextual awareness. Otter also launched botless meeting capture on Windows following Mac release, recording via system audio rather than bot participation. CEO Sam Liang noted enterprise customers prefer bot-joined meetings for transparency and shared access.
