Meta is making a formal push into enterprise AI with the launch of 'Meta Enterprise Platform,' announced Monday. The new unit will bring Meta's full AI stack to businesses and developers, building directly on Muse, Meta's personal AI assistant that launched earlier this month with capabilities like sending emails and booking travel.
Leading the charge is Chirantan 'CJ' Desai, pulled from his CEO role at MongoDB. 'Meta has a unique role to play because it is bringing together advanced models and leading agents with a proven track record of helping millions of advertisers and hundreds of millions of businesses scale,' Desai said in a statement.
The platform will package Muse, Meta Business Agent, Muse API, Muse Code, and additional tools as deployable products for enterprises. For Meta, the move is a direct attempt to monetize its massive AI infrastructure investment. MongoDB, meanwhile, took a sharp hit—shares dropped more than 17%—and named former CEO Dev Ittycheria as interim chief while its board searches for a permanent replacement.
