At IFA Berlin 2026, Lenovo unveiled Project AeroBlade Concept, a fanless laptop weighing 1.8 lbs and just 10mm thin, using Frore Systems' AirJet Mini cooling technology that generates 2,000 Pascals of back pressure to dissipate CPU heat without traditional fans or heatsinks.

Lenovo debuted the Project AeroBlade Concept at IFA Berlin 2026, marking the first laptop to use Frore Systems' AirJet Mini fanless active cooling technology. The system, branded by Lenovo as the 'Active Flow Thermal Solution,' embeds four AirJet modules along the top of the motherboard. Each module generates 2,000 Pascals of back pressure—equivalent to roughly 124 mph airflow—directing high-speed air through tiny jets onto a copper base layer to disrupt the heat boundary layer and expel thermal buildup without conventional fans. Frore claims each module produces 10 times the back pressure of a standard laptop fan while remaining debris- and water-resistant, and consuming the same power as a traditional fan. The engineering sample features a magnesium-aluminum chassis, an OLED display, Thunderbolt 4-enabled USB-C ports, and runs an Intel Lunar Lake processor supporting up to 20W TDP. Lenovo described the unit as 'very mature and refined in terms of sample stability.' The partnership is non-exclusive, meaning other laptop makers could adopt AirJet. No production timeline or pricing was disclosed.
