Czech developer tools company JetBrains recorded its first net loss in at least two decades in 2025, posting a CZK 315 million shortfall on revenue of CZK 16,008 million, according to filings with the Czech business register as processed by Helgi Library. Revenue grew 6.3% year-on-year — the fastest rate in the company's tracked history — yet profitability collapsed. Gross profit fell sharply from CZK 2,834 million in 2024 to CZK 1,708 million, and EBITDA dropped from CZK 2,202 million to just CZK 918 million, a margin of 5.7%. The decisive blow came from net financing costs swinging to a CZK 1,078 million charge in 2025 versus a CZK 810 million gain in 2024, tipping pre-tax income deep into the red at -CZK 325 million. Total debt jumped from CZK 282 million to CZK 1,924 million over the year. The company's return on equity hit -11.1%, compared to 96% in 2024. Despite the loss, JetBrains held net cash of CZK 7,584 million at year-end. The unconsolidated statutory figures cover the Czech entity only and do not reflect the full group structure.
