Jeff Bezos' secretive AI startup Project Prometheus is raising around $10 billion in fresh funding at a $38 billion valuation. The company focuses on physical AI for industrial processes like manufacturing and aerospace, competing with OpenAI and Google DeepMind.
Project Prometheus, cofounded by Jeff Bezos in November, is securing approximately $10 billion in funding at a post-money valuation of around $38 billion. This would be the company's first funding since raising $6.2 billion at launch last year. The startup specializes in physical AI designed for real-world industrial applications including manufacturing, aerospace engineering, and semiconductor production, differentiating it from digital-focused competitors. Co-CEO Vik Bajaj previously worked at Google X and serves as Stanford adjunct professor. The company has been expanding its San Francisco office presence and recruiting talent from OpenAI, xAI, and Google DeepMind, with 50-200 employees according to LinkedIn. Bezos is also reportedly discussing a separate $100 billion investment fund with Middle East and Southeast Asian investors to acquire companies benefiting from Project Prometheus technology.
