Higgsfield raises $400M Series B, valuation hits $5.4B
Original: Higgsfield raises $400M Series B, quadrupling its valuation in 8 months to $5.4B
Why This Matters
Higgsfield's rapid valuation growth signals accelerating enterprise demand for AI video generation tools.
AI video startup Higgsfield raised a $400M Series B led by DST Global, reaching a $5.4B valuation — quadruple its $1.3B valuation from just eight months ago. The company reports $700M in annualized revenue and 30 million users across 200 countries.
Higgsfield, an AI image and video generation startup founded in 2023 by former Snap executive Alex Mashrabov, announced on August 17 that it has raised a $400 million Series B round led by DST Global. The round values the company at $5.4 billion, up fourfold from the $1.3 billion valuation it achieved just eight months prior. Additional investors include Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Valor Capital, and Tribe Capital.
The company reported $700 million in annualized revenue and 30 million users in over 200 countries. On the enterprise side, Higgsfield says it is now working with 390 of the Fortune 500 companies. Its product lineup includes Cinema Studio, aimed at filmmakers directing AI-generated films, and Marketing Studio, targeting marketing and advertising teams. The company gained attention over the past year for premiering AI-generated movies at both Cannes and in New York.
Mashrabov told TechCrunch that the fresh capital will go toward hiring, product development, and compute infrastructure. He noted that 'video is one of the most compute-intensive domains in AI,' with one minute of video comparable to processing 60,000 words. He added that Higgsfield expects 'enterprise adoption of video AI to become much more deeply embedded in everyday marketing and creative workflows.' The company competes with players such as Synthesia and Runway.
