CVE Tracker: Real-Time Vulnerability Volume Dashboard
Original: CVE Tracker
Why This Matters
Tracking CVE publication pace helps security teams anticipate patching workload at scale.
CVE Tracker (cve.0xosprey.com) is an open-access dashboard visualizing CVE publication rates and cumulative totals, drawing live data from the official CVEProject/cvelistV5 repository with filters for models, NSA 0-days, and date ranges.
CVE Tracker is a lightweight, publicly accessible tool that charts the volume of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) over time. Built on data from the CVEProject's official cvelistV5 GitHub repository, it lets users toggle between daily and cumulative views across multiple time ranges—30 days, 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, or all available history. The dashboard supports log scale rendering for periods of high volume, and includes filters for specific CVE models, reserved-but-unpublished entries, and NSA-tracked zero-days. A projection feature estimates the month's final count by comparing the current pace against the median day-of-month fraction across the last 12 months. Users can export data as CSV or copy charts as PNG. The tool also surfaces a 'Shigure' view and a dedicated 0-day tracking mode, though documentation on these specific filters is minimal on the page itself. Last 90 days of daily data are shown by default.
