Clicks Technology, the startup aiming to revive physical keyboard experiences on modern smartphones, has started delivering its Power Keyboard at $99 after earlier delays. The slide-out Bluetooth keyboard attaches via MagSafe or Qi2, accommodates various phone sizes including larger 'Pro Max' and 'Ultra' models, and features an adjustable LED backlight with tactile keys.
TechCrunch tested the device with an iPhone 17 Pro Max and Pixel 10 XL. Pairing with Android was straightforward, but switching to iPhone required a less obvious step: holding a number key alongside the power button to register a second Bluetooth device. The Clicks mobile app is required to fully remove previously paired devices.
The Power Keyboard arrives in premium packaging with a Quick Start guide and ships partially charged via USB-C. While the build quality feels polished, reviewers noted the device can make larger phones feel top-heavy and awkward to hold in portrait mode — a limitation shared with Clicks' earlier keyboard case product.
Clicks describes the Power Keyboard as a preview of its upcoming Clicks Communicator smartphone, which will feature an integrated physical keyboard and is expected to launch later in 2026. The Power Keyboard is positioned for users who miss the speed and reliability of BlackBerry-era typing.
