Anthropic Launches Claude Design for Visual Collaboration

Original: Claude Design

Why This Matters

Democratizes design creation for non-designers while enhancing designer productivity through AI collaboration.

Anthropic launched Claude Design, a new tool that enables collaboration with Claude AI to create visual work including designs, prototypes, and presentations. Powered by Claude Opus 4.7 vision model, it's available in research preview for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers with gradual rollout.

Claude Design allows users to describe their needs and have Claude build initial versions, then refine through conversation, inline comments, or custom sliders. The tool can automatically apply team design systems for consistency. Key features include importing from text prompts, images, documents (DOCX, PPTX, XLSX), or codebases, plus a web capture tool. Users can collaborate with organization-scoped sharing and export to multiple formats including Canva, PDF, PPTX, and HTML. The platform supports realistic prototypes, product wireframes, design explorations, pitch decks, marketing materials, and frontier design with voice, video, and 3D capabilities. Integration with Claude Code enables seamless handoff for implementation.
