Circular, Ring 3 Series with NFC Payments and Vibration Alerts Unveiled
Original: Circular unveils Ring 3 series with contactless payments and on-finger vibration alerts
Why This Matters
The Ring 3 series highlights intensifying competition in the smart ring market as NFC payments become a standard feature.
Smart ring maker Circular announced its Ring 3 series on September 3, 2026, comprising a Pro model and a Slim model. Both feature NFC contactless payments, on-finger vibration alerts, and titanium steel construction with 50-meter water resistance, targeting availability in early 2027.
Circular unveiled its upcoming Ring 3 series, consisting of the Ring 3 Pro and Ring 3 Slim. Both models include an integrated NFC chip for contactless payments, on-finger vibrations for silent alarms, medication reminders, health alerts, and guided breathing exercises, as well as wireless charging and 50-meter water resistance. They will be available in sizes 6–14 and in gold, rose gold, silver, and black finishes.
The Ring 3 Pro features FDA-cleared ECG for AFib detection, blood pressure trend tracking, glucose tracking, advanced sleep analysis, and comprehensive biometric monitoring. Its battery life reaches up to 12 days, up from 7 days on the previous generation. The Ring 3 Slim is thinner and lighter, offering core health metrics—sleep, heart rate, HRV, SpO₂, skin temperature, and daily activity—with up to 10 days of battery life.
CEO Amaury Kosman stated: "Many people simply want a beautifully designed, fashionable smart ring that delivers essential wellness insights and effortless contactless payments." The announcement comes amid heightened competition following the launches of the Oura Ring 5 and RingConn Gen 3. Pricing and preorder details are expected in the coming months.
