Sierra, the customer service agent startup co-founded by Bret Taylor and Clay Bavor, acquired YC-backed French startup Fragment on Thursday. Fragment specializes in helping businesses integrate AI into workflows. This marks Sierra's third public acquisition after Opera Tech and Receptive AI in March. Fragment co-founders Olivier Moindrot and Guillaume Genthial will join Sierra's team to strengthen agent development efforts in France. Deal terms were not disclosed, though PitchBook estimates Fragment raised around $2 million in seed funding. Sierra has raised over $630 million at a $10 billion valuation from investors including Sequoia and Benchmark, serving customers like Casper, Clear, and Brex.
