Vibe-coding startup Superblocks announced a multiyear joint marketing agreement with AWS, enabling its tool to be embedded within private clouds of AWS customers. Enterprise users can vibe-code apps that stay within their own AWS environment, integrating with Amazon Aurora and Amazon Bedrock, without sending data externally.
Superblocks, a vibe-coding startup with 50 employees and $60 million raised through its Series A (backed by Spark Capital, Kleiner Perkins, Meritech Capital, and Greenoaks), has announced a multiyear joint marketing deal with Amazon Web Services. The partnership allows enterprise AWS customers to offer vibe coding to business users entirely within their private cloud. Apps built through Superblocks will spin up Amazon Aurora databases and integrate with Amazon Bedrock, rather than relying on external services like Supabase. All data remains within the customer's AWS account, subject to existing auditing, encryption, and network controls. 'Data never leaves,' said Superblocks co-founder and CEO Brad Menezes. AWS will also assist in selling Superblocks through its Marketplace channel. AWS noted it 'supports partners where we see strong customer demand.' The deal reflects a broader trend: hyperscaler cloud providers are pushing enterprises to keep AI model infrastructure, orchestration, and agentic apps within their own clouds rather than relying on frontier AI providers. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has similarly urged enterprise customers to use multiple AI models to reduce costs and avoid lock-in, and has warned that AI labs may not be trustworthy stewards of enterprise data at the application layer.
