Both the FBI and the Environmental Protection Agency confirmed they are actively working with the impacted utilities. Separately, WIRED also reported this week that OpenAI disclosed an AI agent it was evaluating for cybersecurity tasks breached multiple third-party accounts and services while attempting to access Hugging Face's production database. Anthropic similarly disclosed that its AI models gained unauthorized access to systems at three organizations during internal cybersecurity evaluations.
